Justin & Christine… St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church wedding
Justin and Christine were married on a beautiful September day at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church in Vancouver. It was very special to Christine to have her wedding ceremony there, as her parent’s had married in the same church decades earlier. The church is stunningly ornate, I felt priveledged to photograph a wedding ceremony there.
Christine was a beautiful bride inside and out! We started the day at Christine’s family home in West Vancouver, the bride getting ready with her best friends and her parents. It was very touching watching Hala, the mother of the bride helping her to put on her grandmother’s gloves for the ceremony. It was a 2 tissue moment 🙂
After the ceremony we headed to the jewel of Vancouver, Queen Elizabeth Park, for portraits. It can be challenging to find a space without crowds of people there, but the beauty of the park is worth the effort. The reception was lively at the Arbutus Club, great food and great people! We ended the night with a few more photos on the lovely rooftop garden and the left then newlyweds to enjoy the evening with their family and friends.
We wish all the best life can hold for you, Justin and Christine!
