I love these relaxed family lifestyle shoots! I just arrive (with a camera or two) to see what is happening during the day of a new little family. I like to capture what life looked like for them at this in the moment in time. It is a great alternative to carting the whole family of to Sears portrait studio as we did in the days when I had littles.

The family today was Richie, Mandy, baby Ethan and Max (the firstborn). I used to work with Mandy before I took the leap of being a full time photographer and it was so nice to see her again and meet her adorable baby boy. Days go by so fast and soon little ones are not so little anymore, documenting life and times and tiny fingers is so, so important. Thanks Richie & Mandy for having me in your lovely home, I really do think the first shot could be in the IKEA showroom or the very least in the catalogue (it is an IKEA sofa, I’m sure of that). 🙂
