Deer Lake proposal… Michael & Karen
Michael had everything arranged for an amazing proposal straight out of a romance novel. The first time it was all called off due to rain, as Michael thought it might be difficult to get Karen to go boating on a drizzly day without tipping his hand.
We rescheduled for the next Sunday, which worked out well. It was foggy and cool and the light went from soft and subtle to warm and sunny as the fog burned away. What a spectacular morning!
Peter and I were hidden away… I pretended to be a nature photographer (you have to have a back story 🙂 ) and tried to keep out of Karen’s sight. She thought they were going to church but Michael lead her on a path with clues and roses to pick up along the way. Karen looked beautiful and was truly radiant.
All went according to plan until a group of canoe-ists got between us right as Michael was proposing… gah! We were trying to keep a little distance (we were in a boat as well) and the boaters took that as an opportunity to pass by. I don’t think Michael and Karen noticed them at all… they were the only two people in the world at that moment. It did make for some unique proposal photos and a funny story!
We boated around taking some more photos… there was lots of snuggling, laughter and kisses, these two are head over heels! We also did some more photos on land but that may have to be a part 2 🙂 I have never been happier to get up so early on a Sunday morning. Michael and Karen, we wish you the best!
