A get-away to Lake Las Vegas…
When most people think of Vegas, images of flashing lights, glitz and glamour come to mind. Peter and I had rest and relaxation at the top of our list after a busy wedding season, so a little get-away for the two of us to the Westin at Lake Las Vegas sounded like paradise! We did see that a few weddings were booked at the hotel for the weekend, as it is a great place for a destination wedding. I tried to remain an observer but I may have taken a picture or two!
The hotel was a great choice for us since a few days in the sunshine fairly close to home is what we needed. The hotel is a bit secluded (the strip is a half hour drive away) so a rental car was a great idea. We drove into town to visit the Neon Boneyard, which I loved! We also went to the old strip for about a half hour before we had seen enough, lol. We made trips out to the Valley of Fire and the Hoover Dam, which are both quite close. The thought of chilling by the pool kept us from venturing much farther away because even in mid October it was hot, but lovely, as long as the pool and beers weren’t too far away!
Love the trip to Vegas !! Thanks for sharing Marla. Beautiful shots.
