This is a long overdue blog post… no excuses… just life.
Rick & Monica got married in June of last year at The Falls Golf Club in the Fraser Valley. It was the hottest day of the year and that heat settles itself right down in the valley, Fortunately there was a breeze to cool things ever. so. slightly.
The couple had a lovely first look at the fountain of the Coast Chilliwack Hotel, then we headed to the Falls for some portraits before the ceremony. Interestingly, the Falls are man made and can be turned on and off. Because it was so hot that day, it was too difficult for the group to stand in the heat while waiting for the Falls to, well, fall. We did get a shot with a bit of a trickle, c’est la vie.
After the ‘I do’s’, the bride, groom and one lucky photographer… (me) 🙂 flew in a helicopter to the top of Mt Cheam for photos. The ride was thrilling and fun, and the top of the mountain was blessedly cool. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had as a photographer!
Rick and Monica, I hope you first year of marriage has been sweet! Thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding and thanks for the amazing experience!
